Legitimate and anti-abuse

Anyone can use all the features of Borderfree without registering an account. It is expected that most users will use this feature for legitimate purposes. However, some users may abuse this feature for improper purposes. To combat such abuse, we have defined the following anti-abuse policy.

Our policy for storing and disclosing connection logs is to retain logs for three months or longer.

When an anonymous user connects or disconnects, an access log entry is recorded. This entry is stored in a specific log file in an encrypted format and is securely transmitted to our servers for safekeeping.

Disclose to the police, prosecutor, attorney, or court.

It is essential to prevent the misuse of our services by users who conceal their IP addresses to engage in illegal activities. Should such abuse occur, it becomes necessary to track the source IP address of these illicit users. Analyzing connection logs can aid in investigating their source global IP addresses.

We will disclose VPN connection logs to authorized law enforcement, prosecutors, attorneys, or courts in accordance with applicable laws.

If you are a police officer, prosecutor, attorney, or have court authorization, and need to request the disclosure of VPN connection logs, please contact us at the email address below. You will need to provide additional information, including the date and time of the logs in question, the IP address of the involved VPN server, and other relevant materials for reference.
